Position Overview

We're looking for dedicated canvassers to knock doors across San Francisco and have direct conversations with voters about our campaign. As a canvasser, you'll be engaging residents at their doors, sharing information about Saikat's vision for San Francisco, the Democratic Party, and the country — and collecting voter information. This is a straightforward door-knocking position focused on voter contact.

Key Responsibilities

• Knock on doors and engage voters in conversations about the campaign
• Accurately collect voter information and input data into campaign systems
• Meet minimum door knock requirements
• Maintain accurate records of voter interactions
• Follow provided scripts and talking points
• Participate in brief check-ins at the beginning and end of each shift

Physical Requirements & Work Conditions

This is a physically demanding position. San Francisco's terrain includes steep hills and many buildings with multiple flights of stairs. Canvassers must be able to:

• Walk continuously for up to 5 hours per shift on steep hills and uneven surfaces (with breaks)
• Climb multiple flights of stairs throughout each shift
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions (fog, wind, sun, occasional rain)

Basic Requirements

• No previous experience required - we provide all training
• Comfortable talking to strangers at their doors
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to work flexible hours a plus, though we will have some daytime-only shifts

Helpful But Not Required

• Previous canvassing experience
• Knowledge of San Francisco neighborhoods
• Multilingual abilities, especially Spanish, Chinese, or Filipino languages
• Experience with VAN or similar data entry apps

Position Overview

We're hiring a versatile Video Editor to advance our campaign's storytelling across platforms. You'll edit everything from quick turnaround social clips to long-form videos, applying strong color and audio skills to ship polished work on tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form social content (Reels/TikTok/YouTube Shorts) and long-form videos (YouTube, ads, event recaps, testimonials).
• Perform color correction and basic grading; maintain consistent look across deliverables.
• Edit, clean, and mix dialogue; apply EQ/compression/noise reduction; source and balance music/SFX for strong sound design.
• Version, resize, and caption content for multiple platforms/aspect ratios; export to correct specs.
• Organize project files, proxies, and media; maintain consistent naming and version control.
• Collaborate with the comms/media team on briefs, story arcs, and feedback cycles; hit rapid turnarounds.
• QC final exports for audio peaks, color shifts, caption accuracy, and compliance.

Basic Requirements

• Proficiency in CapCut and Adobe Premiere Pro required; experience with DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro is a plus.
• Strong understanding of color and color correction (scopes, balanced skin tones, matching shots).
• Audio editing and sound design skills (dialogue cleanup, room tone, SFX/music integration).
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and deliver under tight deadlines.
• Excellent file hygiene and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of codecs, frame rates, color profiles, and delivery specs across platforms.

Helpful But Not Required

• Motion graphics (Adobe After Effects or Apple Motion).
• Experience with Adobe Audition/Pro Tools and loudness standards.
• Camera/production experience (basic lighting/framing).
