Saikat Chakrabarti's Campaign Builds Citywide Momentum Through 350 Public Events

Saikat Chakrabarti's campaign reaches 350 public event milestone ahead of the June 2 primary.

Campaign hosts town halls, canvasses and rallies across San Francisco as ballots arrive in voters' mailboxes

SAN FRANCISCO — With ballots now arriving in mailboxes across San Francisco, campaign for CA-11 congressional candidate Saikat Chakrabarti announced today it has hosted 350 public events ahead of the June 2 primary, including town halls, rallies, farmers markets, phone banks and canvasses that drew more than 6,500 attendees citywide.

Last week, more than 1,400 supporters filled 715 Harrison for the campaign's "Change the Party" rally in SoMa, underscoring the campaign's growing grassroots operation across San Francisco. Chakrabarti has also participated in all 13 debates and forums offered in the CA-11 race.

The campaign's 350-event milestone comes with less than three weeks until Election Day and reflects what the campaign describes as a closing strategy centered on repeated voter contact through door knocking, phone calls, neighborhood events and community conversations.

"350 events is not an accident — it is a strategy," said Emily Hyden, campaign manager for Saikat for Congress. "Every town hall, every farmers market and every canvass is another opportunity for voters to meet Saikat, ask him real questions and decide for themselves. That's how trust is built, and that's how this race is won."

Alongside its event program, the campaign said it has: * Knocked on 486,000 doors across San Francisco * Called more than 300,000 voters * Identified 154,000 supporters citywide * Hosted 230 video calls with Saikat involving more than 1,300 voters * Earned endorsements from 30 organizations across San Francisco and the country
