About the Campaign

Saikat Chakrabarti is running for Congress in San Francisco with a bold, people-powered vision for transformative change. This is a campaign that refuses to be captured by the interests of billionaires or entrenched political factions. We are building a coalition that includes and uplifts every community in the cityβ€”and we are looking for San Francisco-based Political Organizers who share that vision.

About the Role

Political Organizers will play crucial leadership roles in helping build one of the most inclusive, community-rooted campaigns San Francisco has seen. These roles require deep relationships across the city, sharp political instincts, and a commitment to working across divides to unite people around a common vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead outreach and relationship-building efforts across San Francisco's diverse neighborhoods, communities, and constituencies
  • Organize and manage meetings with community leaders, neighborhood groups, civic organizations, unions, faith communities, advocacy orgs, and others
  • Represent the campaign in public and private forums with professionalism, clarity, and authenticity
  • Identify and lift up local voices and concerns to inform campaign priorities, messaging, and strategy
  • Support development of campaign materials and messages that resonate with a wide range of voters, across languages and communities
  • Help manage and advise on political targeting, field priorities, and strategic community engagement
  • Collaborate with senior staff on coalition-building, endorsements, and visibility in key communities
  • Assist in building a multilingual, multi-racial campaign infrastructure that reaches every corner of the city

Ideal Candidate

  • Deep roots and trusted relationships in San Francisco's communities
  • At least 3 years of experience in political organizing, campaign strategy, community engagement, or movement-building
  • Strong communication skills, including experience engaging stakeholders across differences
  • Passion for inclusive, ground-up change and a vision for a better future for all San Franciscans
  • A non-dogmatic, independent thinker with sharp political judgment and deep integrity
  • Fluency or proficiency in a language spoken by San Francisco communities is a plus

Location & Compensation

  • This is a full-time, in-person role based in San Francisco
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
